My father and mother watch as I being showered by Mrs. Narso. This Javanese tradition is done a day before the wedding. I don’t really know the meaning but the point is to symbolize the clean bride and groom, mentally and physically, to face the holy matrimony the next day. Also, to ask forgiveness, permission and blessing from both parents.

We use modern Javanese decoration for our wedding. The table in front of the stage was used to perform the Nikah or wedding vow ceremony in Islamic way.
