Pesta Blogger 2008 or Blogger Party 2008 held for the second time this year. This time, a thousand blogger all around Indonesia has attended the event. No wonder, 3 ministers have happily supported Pesta Blogger 2008. It was fun meeting a lot of blogger face to face. Some we know just from their nicknames and we could finally speak to them in person! One of the most interesting discussion in the event is about how those 5 blogger all over the world (USA, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Philippines) have experienced Indonesia through Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Bali. They will soon write about their journey in their blog when they came home (or even NOW). Read some of their stories in Mr. Brown, Mark, and Jeff Ooi’s Blog. More Pesta Blogger 2008 pictures on my flickr!

Like Singapore, Jakarta has Great Sale as well. 14 June - 14 July is a perfect time to visit Jakarta and shop shop shop!

Good Captain Hook was on a look out for bits of plastics around the streets! Oh, dear Captain, please swipe those plastics away from our land!
Jakarta Daily Photo has reached its 365th post today!
When is ‘one year’ in DP blogging?
For me, it means 365 posts.
It’s been fun showing pictures of Jakarta and being in this wonderful community. I admit that I haven’t been diligent enough to post a photo daily, but I’ve tried my best. Hats off to other DP members who never miss a single day! Starting and maintaining Jakarta Daily Photo is by far the most rewarding experience for me! Thanks for all your support and wonderful comments! Do wish me luck for more pictures to come…

How’s the custom in your country for children’s birthday party? When I was a kid, birthday party’s goodie bags were filled with chocolates and candies. Today’s urban parents are quite concern with children’s health and exchange the sweets with healthy crackers, cereals, juice, probably a small amount of candies and add things that are useful such as lunch boxes, small bags, stationaries, etc. There are shops where you can buy various kinds of gifts for goodie bags according to your budget. And as you can see on the picture, the shop assistants would wrap them up for you.

Lots of love to you all! Make every day a Valentine’s Day
