His friends are already inside the class, studying, singing, and having a good time. But he needs to analyze the situation first, before he could make any decision. To enter or not to enter, that is the question 
This could be a prize-winning photo if you can take down the orange tomes in the skin a bit. The viewer doesn’t know that the boy is outside of a schoolroom unless you tell us. He has a bit of anxiety on his face. He looks left out or locked out, or could be hiding from something. Excellent composition with the POV right at his eye level.

A really incredible portait and character study. Almost as if he is posing for you. Well done. I agree with Strangetastes…but feel you should keep it exactly as it is…with no toning down his skin.
