Quite a nice walkway, don’t you think? Have you had a stroll this Sunday?

Suropati Park situated in the central of Jakarta, was where I took yesterday’s picture. It has a few sculptures donated by ASEAN. It’s quite a nice place to jog and the huge trees are wonderful. A few workers were there making sure the park was clean. I was disappointed that the small fountain wasn’t on. Overall it looks like a well maintained park. But the only ones visiting it were a few couples, street food sellers and some homeless people sleeping.
Well, a walk in the park is not exactly Jakartans’ idea of a fun day out. Although I still hope someday there’d be less polution in the air, there’d be nice parks on every district of Jakarta for kids and people of all ages to enjoy, and going to the park would one day be a part of our lives.

Here’s a flower to keep your Sunday fresh! We call this Soka.
Though it’s not a snowy picture, I dedicate the red and green color for those who celebrate christmas! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy holiday, everyone!

continuing my previous post.. do you wonder how to plant a mangrove? well, considering that the plant lives in a swamp. few weeks ago, i get to see it firsthand. the guy in the picture above was planting one, as part of community program. he just stick the plant inside the swamp and tied it to a stick of bamboo that was previously planted on the site. so that the plant will be able to grow despite of the high tides. pretty interesting, eh?
